Dit belangrijke onderzoek bevestigt de nauwkeurigheid van het gebruik van de DeltaScan-monitor om de toestand van de hersenen van oudere patiënten in het ziekenhuis te beoordelen. Cognitieve achteruitgang en delirium zijn helaas veelvoorkomende postoperatieve complicaties bij patiënten ouder dan 65 jaar, die leiden tot ernstige korte- en langetermijnproblemen.
